In a rapidly changing world, physical distance should not be a barrier to justice. We recognized that to truly "translate laws into actual services," we needed to put legal knowledge directly into the hands of the people.
The CYJULERC Learning Academy is the digital extension of our mission. It is a space where activists, community leaders, legal practitioners, and survivors can access high-quality, culturally relevant legal education from anywhere in the world.

Mission

Founded in 2003 by Justice Esther Ayuk and a dedicated group of Common Law Jurists, CYJULERC was born from a mission to turn the law into a shield for the most vulnerable. For over two decades, we have moved from the courtrooms of Buea to the remote villages of Cameroon, successfully advocating for the criminalization of harmful traditional practices like FGM and securing legal protection for thousands of women and children. Today, we recognize that to truly dismantle injustice, knowledge must be borderless. This online learning platform was birthed from our vision to scale this impact to millions—moving beyond physical boundaries to educate a global audience on our core pillars of Legal Empowerment, Protection of the Vulnerable, Sustainable Advocacy, and Health Rights. By digitizing our 20 years of field expertise, we are equipping a new generation of rights defenders with the tools to build a society where justice is accessible to all.
Mission
To bridge the gap between legal theory and citizen action, we provide digital education that combats legal ignorance and ends the cycle of impunity in Cameroon. By sensitizing millions on national laws and international human rights instruments, we empower women and children to recognize and resist abuse. Our mission fosters a genuine democracy where legal consciousness serves as a shield against violence and a tool for social justice. Through this platform, we build a fair society that guarantees dignity and the rule of law for every citizen.

To build a fair and equitable world where the rule of law guarantees the dignity of every human being. We envision a community free from abuse and marginalization—a world where women and children live with security, respect, and the full protection of their human rights.
